The Bandits take Game One of the Championship

stl_college_baseball_logoThe Bandits took advantage of the Dodgers playing on short rest, rolling to a 17-3 Game 1 win of the 5-game Metro League Championship. Dodgers starter Scott Pennington last just 2/3 of an inning as the Bandits put up a 5-spot in the 1st inning, and a 4-spot in the 2nd. Bandit catcher Jack Daly would collect 3 hits on the day, and drive in a game-high 5. The Dodgers, winning on a walk-off walk late on Friday night, would get their lone highlight off the bat of Lex Kaplan, who hit a tape measure home run to right off Bandit starter Nick Allgeyer in the 6th. Allgeyer would go 5 plus innings, allowing three runs to pick up the victory. Pennington would take the loss.
